When we first see the title, A Course in Miracles, many of us think that this book will teach us how to be healers. And we’re not wrong. The very first line of the Course says, “You will see miracles through your hands through me.” Several of the early miracle principles speak of “the healing power of the miracle.” And the Manual for Teachers envisions countless “teachers of God” using their grounding in the Course to become healers who go to sick people.

Bringing Course-based healing to light

Despite the fact that the Course itself places great emphasis on the role of healers, its goal of training healers in the world has remained almost completely buried inside its covers. As a result, those who feel called to be Course-based healers have to either be without a function or turn to other healing modalities with more formalized training programs.

Establishing a Course-based healing tradition

Here at the Circle we have long wanted to fulfill the Course’s original intentions and establish a tradition of Course-based healing. We have recently been working behind the scenes to lay the foundations for this tradition, and now we are ready to step out more publicly.

In this first-of-its-kind course, we will explore the theory, method, and practice of healing in A Course in Miracles.

For those who are interested in becoming Course-based healers, you will learn:

  • The Course’s philosophy of sickness and healing
  • The goal of Course-based healing
  • The role of the healer in the Course
  • How to strengthen your own practice so you can offer healing to others
  • How a Course-based healer delivers healing to patients
  • The structure of a typical Course-based healing session, including a selection of healing prayers you can use with your own patients

The offering of spiritual healing is a profound and sacred gift. If you are interested in becoming a Course-based healer, or you are just curious as to what it’s all about, we hope you will join us for the exciting adventure of bringing the healing principles of A Course in Miracles into the world.

About Circle of Atonement

From our origin in 1993, the purpose of the Circle of Atonement has been to be a bridge into the profound and unparalleled wisdom of A Course in Miracles. We clarify the Course’s sometimes difficult language in order to make possible a deeper understanding of its teachings. We then help you put those teachings into practice, explaining how to apply them in your everyday life. Our work grows out of our commitment to be as faithful as possible to what A Course in Miracles says. It also grows out of our years of dedication to walking this path ourselves and our desire to see the Course’s purpose realized in the lives of students and in the world.
