Our Vision for the Course
What would have happened if Jesus’ message of unconditional love 2,000 years ago had reached the world in pure form? How might our religion, our institutions, our very civilization be different?
We believe that A Course in Miracles holds this same potential, and we are dedicated to doing everything we can to help its groundbreaking wisdom extend out in pure form so that it can, as Jesus put it, become “a helper of the world.”
To accomplish this lofty goal, we envision the Course being the basis for an ongoing spiritual tradition. This tradition would take the form of a global community of countless students, teachers, and healers, as well as study groups, centers, and local networks. The sole purpose of the tradition would be to help each other walk the path of the Course as Jesus laid it out, so that each person could become a miracle worker, a beacon of light in a darkened world. We are almost at the end of this email series and throughout our time together we have looked at the way A Course in Miracles came into the world, what it offers us and why we need it, as well as an overview of the book's three volumes, and the way that our organisation approaches it's teachings.
Before we get to the last email (tomorrow) we'd like to invite you to reflect on what you have read so far and to ask yourself these questions:
- Do you feel as though A Course in Miracles is (or might be) for you?
- Are you interested in learning more by studying, practicing, or extending these teachings?
- Would you like to be a part of the global community of students and teachers of the Course, who are helping one another to walk this path?
- Do you have questions about A Course in Miracles that have not yet been answered in these emails?
