Join us for a weekend workshop with Robert Perry and concert featuring Neda Boin
Please note: Registration for this event is inside our free community platform where you will have access to all your recordings and be able to interact with others who are attending as well.
Friends,
We are so excited to be hosting our first in-person event in FIVE YEARS. It's hard to believe it's been that long and we absolutely cannot wait to connect with you (off zoom!) in gorgeous Sedona, Arizona this October. The Circle was founded in Sedona in 1993 and we are thrilled to be returning this fall to celebrate our 30th Anniversary!
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a truly spectacular weekend. We're in the trenches of planning now and I'm always saying to everyone here that "this is going to be the best in-person event the Circle has ever held."
For starters, Robert will be leading a workshop on holy encounters. The Course teaches that holy encounters are when two or more people join and experience a holy instant, i.e. a moment in which we temporarily set aside the past and enter into the timeless present. It's a moment in which we transcend identification with illusions and recognize - even for an instant - what is truly real. After being in lockdown for so long I know I'm ready for more holy encounters - and I'm sure you are too.
In addition to the workshop, we have a Saturday evening concert with Neda Boin. Imagine hearing Neda's beautiful voice in full view of the glorious red rocks and surrounded by many sweet Course Companions. Can you picture anything more lovely?
Finally, I should tell you that our volunteer event coordinator Bryan Hebert is DETERMINED to inject lots of fun into our time together. From balloon archways when you enter the Sedona Creative Life Center, to our Friday night Circle Birthday Party, to customized playlists, to gift bags, and so much more.
Suffice it to say that we are pulling together something truly unforgettable for you. However, to keep the room safely spaced out as we all slowly return to group gatherings, we are only selling 125 tickets (max) and we are over 90% full. So if you want to join us in Sedona, please don't wait!
Below you will find additional information including an agenda and travel information. If you have any questions we can answer for you directly, just send a note to info@circleofa.org and we will be happy to help.
We look forward to meeting you again this fall!
With love,
Emily Bennington Perry
Executive Director
Circle of Atonement
Although the term “holy encounter” is not found very often in A Course in Miracles, the concept is at the very center of this path.
There is an interaction in which love is given, and then returned in the form of gratitude, and two people are caught up in an experience of joining because they have gained together.
It can be as simple as two “strangers” in an elevator smiling to one another. But the Course says that in such a moment “salvation has come.” In that moment “the doer and the receiver both emerge much farther along in time than they would otherwise have been,” perhaps thousands of years farther.
This is what happened to Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford in 1965 when they unexpectedly joined in finding “another way.” That single moment changed their lives—and a great many of our own lives—forever.
It is in these instants, these holy encounters, that our greatest spiritual progress occurs. Indeed the Course says that this is how it intends to shorten our journey home. How, then, can we have more such holy encounters? Rather than stumbling into them occasionally, how can they become daily occurrences? For the workshop portion of our time together we will explore these questions and more together.

Mary Anne Buchowski
Teacher
Mary Anne Buchowski is a long-time Circle teacher who has been associated with the Circle from its beginnings. She spent several years working for the Circle in Sedona, fulfilling administrative, programming, and teaching duties, while being trained as a teacher and mentored by Robert.

From its origin in 1993, the purpose of the Circle of Atonement has been to be a bridge into the profound and unparalleled wisdom of A Course in Miracles. We clarify the Course’s sometimes difficult language in order to make possible a deeper understanding of its teachings. We then help you put those teachings into practice, explaining how to apply them in your everyday life. Our work grows out of our commitment to be as faithful as possible to what A Course in Miracles says. It also grows out of our years of dedication to walking this path ourselves and our desire to see the Course’s purpose realized in the lives of students and in the world.
